An Original 8 X 10 Portrait Still of Marilyn Monroe taken during the campaign of her drama/thriller film “Don’t Bother to Knock” which was released by 20th Century Fox in 1952. Norma Jeane Baker, a bodacious blonde diva and already a star magazine pinup, was discovered by casting director Ben Lyon and given her first screen test in the summer of 1946. Lyon –who worked for 20th Century Fox- helped transform Norma Jeane into Marilyn Monroe by suggesting she take up the first name Marilyn, after Marilyn Miller, a popular 1920’s stage performer and the last name Monroe from her mother’s maiden name. The rest is history as Monroe went on become one of the most photographed and famed actresses of all-time with fans writing in thousands of letters to studios asking when she would be casted in her next role. Offered here is a beautiful 8 X 10 Original Portrait Still from 20th Century Fox showing the dazzling Monroe in a sparkling two-piece dress and a black fur mink coat. The condition is Very Fine with a 20th Century Fox stamp on the Verso. Very Fine.
